Draw Technician

CoWorx Staffing is seeking a Draw Technician for our client located in the Grafton, MA area.

The draw technician is responsible for routine manufacturing and R&D fiber drawing of existing and new fiber optic products.

This is a direct hire opportunity.

The position hours are 6pm-6am Monday-Thursday. The position requires training on day shift for approximately 6 months, 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Physical setup and operation of draw tower and equipment to produce a diversity of products.
Operational monitoring of production and R&D runs.
Documentation of process setup, running and product performance.
Communication with engineering and employees in other departments is required to maintain schedule and resolve issues.
Applies technical skills and observation to resolve process issues/variability.
Follows oral and written instructions to achieve manufacturing schedule.

Other Information:

Working Conditions:

This position generally works in a semi clean room environment
Some exposure to liquid chemistry requires the use of PPE (gloves/safety glasses)
This position requires daily operation in a man lift
This position requires the employee to ascend/descend stairways
Exposure to heat sources (flame, ovens, extrusion equipment) requires use of PPE
