Weekend Cable Production Technician

CoWorx is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cable Production Technician in the Woodridge, IL area!

This role involves performing essential tasks in the cable production process, ensuring efficiency and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Schedule Fri-Sun 10am-1230pm

Responsibilities:

Safely and accurately apply lagging (protective materials) to cable reels to ensure secure transportation and storage
Cut cables to the specified lengths, ensuring precision and minimal waste
Safely strip and dispose of scrap materials from cable to maintain a clean production environment
Accurately weigh cables to meet production specifications and quality control standards.
Properly box cables for shipping and storage, ensuring they are packaged securely and labeled correctly
Place reels onto winders, ensuring smooth operation and handling of reels
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards. Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a positive, efficient work environment

Desired Background/Skills:

Must be 18 years old or older
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Comfortable working with machinery and hand tool
Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to company procedures
