SMT Kitter

Are you detail-oriented and enjoy working in a team-focused manufacturing environment? We’re hiring a SMT Kit Assembler for a growing electronics manufacturer in South Portland, ME. This is a full-time first shift opportunity with room to grow and gain valuable experience in electronics production.
As an SMT kitter you will be responsible for pulling and organizing parts into complete “kits” used by Surface Mount Operators to build orders. You’ll also assist with verifying, counting (using x-ray), and returning unused parts to inventory.

Pay is $18 an hour.

Responsibilities:

Retrieve parts from stock in various formats (tape & reel, tubes, boxes)
Assemble and organize kits accurately for production teams
Break down completed kits and return parts to inventory
Read and interpret process documentation and assembly drawings
Work collaboratively within a team and maintain high accuracy
Adapt to changing responsibilities as production needs shift

Desired Background/Skills:

High School Diploma or GED
Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately
Good vision (with or without corrective lenses)
Previous electronics experience is a plus
Familiarity with ESD standards is helpful, but training is provided
Knowledge of electronic components is beneficial but will be taught on the job
