Parts Inspector

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a parts inspector candidate in the Middletown, CT area. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join the manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth dimensional and visual inspections on complex machined, cast, molded, and fabricated parts. The ideal candidate will be proficient with advanced inspection tools, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and work effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Perform high-precision inspections to tolerances as tight as .0001 inches.
Use advanced inspection equipment including coordinate measuring machines (CMM), toolmaker’s microscopes, rotary tables, and sine plates.
Inspect components per engineering drawings, technical specifications, and approved documentation.

Evaluate parts for:

Dimensional and functional compliance
Surface finish and hardness
Visual quality and completeness of operations
Accurately document all inspection findings and maintain detailed records.
Inspect tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges when required.
Communicate discrepancies and non-conforming issues to Quality and Product Engineers.
Collaborate with customer inspectors during concurrent inspections, as needed.
Utilize sampling plans and statistical methods such as control charts and histograms.
[liAssist with developing corrective action recommendations to eliminate or reduce defects.

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments and techniques.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Other Information:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Range: $24.00 – $33 an hour
