Laser Operator

CoWorx in partnership with Metalcrafters is looking for a self-sufficient individual to run Trumpf and Amada lasers on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Setting up the machine for specific jobs, loading programs, adjusting parameters like laser power, speed, and focus, and ensuring the machine operates safely.
Loading and unloading materials, such as metal into the laser machine.
Inspecting parts for accuracy, dimension, and quality, and making adjustments as needed to ensure the final product meets specifications.
Addressing machine malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, and reporting any issues to supervisors.
Adhering to safety protocols, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Desired Background/Skills:

Experience using Co2 and or fiber laser machines
Must have knowledge cutting mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
Ability to edit program at the machine a plus

Other Information:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday off and don’t go to work until 3:30pm Monday. Nice long weekends every week.
$22.00 – $26.00 an hour depending on the interview and experience
