Machine Operator

Our client in Brentwood, NH is hiring converting operators to their team!

This opportunity is direct hire, offers $21/hr +, and offers opportunity for growth in their expanding business!

Operators are critical members of their team, in which they set up, operate, and tend machines that extrude and coat flat films from synthetic materials.

Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, or tend machines such as silicone coaters, auxiliary equipment and coat and convert flat films.
Observe machine operations, control boards, and gauges to detect malfunctions such as roll quality, silicone continuity and dimensional tolerances. Adjust machine controls, tensions, and operational parameters as necessary.
Load materials into extruding and coating machines, by proper weighing, and adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates.
Start metering pumps and observe operation of machines and equipment to ensure continuous flow of silicone coatings.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures to determine correct film production parameters and quality specifications. Record details of machine malfunctions.
Keep machinery and work area clean. Wipe finish rollers with cloths and wash finish trays with solvent when necessary.
Ensure quality of film and raw materials meets and exceeds customer and company standards with training in a lab as a QA tester.

Desired Background/Skills:

Blown film, extrusion, silicone coating experience desired.
At least 1-3 years of Machine Operator experience required.
Able to stand, bend, squat, lift up to 30-50 pounds.
Coordination – The ability of fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
Be familiar with rulers, scales, gauges, and other measurement tools desired.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

NIGHT SHIFTS: Sunday – Wednesday 6PM – 6AM & Wednesday 6PM – Midnight OR Thursday 12AM – 6AM & Thursday – Sunday 6PM – 6AM
