Machinist – 1st & 2nd Shift

CoWorx is seeing experienced machinists in the Biddeford, Me area!

Join a growing team that’s building cutting-edge products for the Glass, PV, Electronics, and Display industries. We are currently seeking skilled Machinist, Spray Booth Operators and casters for 1st and 2nd shift to apply high-performance metal and ceramic coatings using advanced spray systems.

Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) +11% shift Differential

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM & 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain state-of-the-art thermal spray systems
Apply thermal spray coatings (metal & ceramic, wire & powder) to tubes and plates
Start up and improve spray booth operations with a focus on quality and efficiency
Operate ancillary machinery as needed
Participate in safety, quality, and traceability processes
Handle and process hazardous materials in compliance with regulations
Understand chemical properties and safety protocols within the work area

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or GED required
2–3 years of verifiable machinist experience required
Experience with thermal spray, spray plasma, and wire coating preferred
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Skilled in using power tools and precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail, safety, and manufacturing best practices
Good reading, writing, and math skills
