Machine Operator

Job Description:

Location: Greenville, Ohio

CoWorx has partnered with a manufacturer of specialty products ranging from high quality face shields to specialty flame retardant products, who is looking to add Machine Operators to their team. Multiple openings are available starting at entry level to experienced plastic extrusion operators. Currently there are first, second and third shifts on eight hour schedules, but future flexibility to work a 12 hour schedule is required. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on position and experience.

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities Vary Based on Level of Position
Ensure polymer resin preparation, material modifications, accurate data collection.
Accurately maintain process conditions and all other required paperwork, or records.
Provide support to new product design and process development.
Provide technical assistance for the Polymer Processing group and Physical Testing Laboratory if needed.
Provide trouble-shooting techniques for processing a variety of resins types.
Perform minor mechanical repairs to lab equipment when needed.
Operate lab scale extruders, thermo-formers, etc.

Must have a high level of initiative with the ability to work independently.
Skilled in customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership and participation.
Ability to effectively analyze, problem solve, determine the best solution, and effectively implement idea (s) using creative thinking and technical knowledge.
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well with others in team environment.
Attention to detail and follow-up is important.
Average math and reading skills.
Reliable attendance and a can-do attitude are essential.
Experience working with polymer materials and processes as described above.
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to operate a calculator and scale, read a tape measure in 1/16″ increments and micrometers in 1/1000 increments
Ability to obtain and possess a forklift certification desired
Previous manufacturing experience in plastic extrusion will be moved to highest consideration
