Assembly Team Leader

Job Description:

Location: Danbury, Connecticut

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assembly Team Lead to support production operations under the guidance of the Group Leader. This role involves coordinating day-to-day assembly tasks, guiding team members, and ensuring timely, high-quality completion of work orders.

Responsibilities:

Lead and support the assembly team by coordinating daily tasks in alignment with instructions from the Group Leader.
Assist in production roles as needed, providing hands-on support where required.
Accurately select and prepare parts needed for production orders.
Assemble, inspect, and package components and finished products following detailed instructions, drawings, and quality standards.
Carry out specialized assembly tasks as assigned.
Organize and assign work to team members to meet production goals.
Operate basic software tools, including label printing, SAP entries, and product testing applications.
Serve as backup for the Group Leader when necessary.
Manage rework processes and ensure completion of complex assembly jobs.
Train and mentor new and existing assembly team members.
Install and mount components required for assembling sub-systems and finished units.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at individual workstations, in shared storage, and communal areas.
Temporarily assist across various assembly teams when operational needs arise.
Promote teamwork and collaboration within the department.

Desired Background/Skills:

5+ years of prior manufacturing experience.
Prior experience leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
Hands on mechanical abilities.
High School Diploma (Required)
