Automation Technician

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Automation Technician in the Slatersville, RI area!

In this role, you’ll help install, set up, and maintain automation equipment and robotics used in production cells. You’ll gain hands-on experience with troubleshooting, changeovers, and basic electrical/electronic testing while supporting multiple product lines. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow their technical skills in automation.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation of new or existing automation equipment in production cells or as standalone systems.
Perform equipment setup and changeovers for multiple product lines.
Ensure automation equipment runs to engineering and operations standards.
Support troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment, including mechanical and basic electrical issues.
Learn to work with robotics, PLC logic, inputs/outputs, and vision systems within prescribed timelines
Use leveling, moving, and testing equipment to support large automation installations.
Document activities and follow verbal and written instructions from senior automation personnel.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environments.

Desired Background/Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–2 years of experience working in automation or related technical roles.
Experience with troubleshooting and large equipment installations.
Basic knowledge of electrical/electronics, including use of multimeters and testing devices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn advanced automation systems.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
