PPAP Specialist

Job Description:

Location: Concord, New Hampshire

We’re seeking a detail-oriented PPAP Specialist to lead and manage the end-to-end Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for parts being transferred to our client’s new facility. This temporary role is ideal for someone with strong quality experience. Whether you’ve worked as a quality inspector, quality technician, or quality engineer, who understands how to navigate PPAP documentation, requirements, and customer standards.

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and strong organizational skills. You’ll coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and lab teams, ensuring that all PPAP requirements are met and customer expectations are satisfied.

Lead PPAP submissions according to the 18-element AIAG PPAP framework, including FMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA, SPC, dimensional results, and more.
Determine and coordinate PPAP submission levels (Levels 1–5, with Level 3 most common).
Collect, verify, and compile data/documentation from cross-functional teams.
Prepare and submit full PPAP packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Act as liaison with customer quality/engineering teams and support on-site reviews if required.
Ensure compliance with customer and internal standards, proactively identifying risks or missing elements.

Desired Background/Skills:

3+ years of direct PPAP experience (automotive/aerospace preferred).
Strong knowledge of quality tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R
Familiarity with AIAG PPAP standards; APQP and AS9100 knowledge a plus
Ability to measure parts (e.g., using calipers) and interpret GD&T.
Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
Comfortable working on-site in a manufacturing environment.
