Machine Operator

CoWorx Staffing is hiring an experienced Machine Operator in Easthampton, MA!

Schedule:
Days – Mon – Fri, 5:30am – 5:30pm (60 hour week)
Nights – Mon – Fri, 5:30pm – 5:30am (60 hour week)

Responsibilities:

Operate all coating activities including set-up machine, feed adhesive to coater via reservoir.
Observe machine and equipment operation to detect defects.
Perform proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
Operate forklift/ hand truck to lift and move pallets with drums and/or rolls.
Assist production as a material handler: load, unload, and move materials, part, or products manually or by mechanized means within or near plant, in warehouse or vehicle with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Perform a variety of other warehouse tasks- If needed, install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
Load each end of machine with raw materials.
Read process orders on the computer or follow verbal instructions.
Deliver production items to designated work areas for processing.
Deliver processed units to storage or for the next stage of processing. Stack processed items in warehouse.
Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.

Desired Background/Skills:

Must be 18 years old or older
Ability to move or transfer products with forklift
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
