Wastewater Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Wastewater Operator candidates in the Attleboro, MA area. This is an opportunity is available for a licensed Wastewater Treatment Operator (WWTO) to support the operation of a wastewater treatment system at an electroplating facility. This role ensures regulatory compliance and supports safe, efficient environmental operations.

Responsibilities:

Monitor, sample, and test wastewater to meet regulatory and permit requirements.
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and air pollution control systems.
Ensure compliance with hazardous waste storage, labeling, and disposal procedures.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.
Prepare hazardous waste shipping paperwork.
Assist with the maintenance of chemical baths and perform pH and temperature checks.
Occasionally assist in plating operations as needed.
Collaborate with other Wastewater Operators to support facility-wide environmental goals.
Promote and adhere to strict safety standards across all operations.

Desired Background/Skills:

Valid Massachusetts Industrial Wastewater Operator License
Prior experience in industrial wastewater treatment required.
Understanding of relevant federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Familiarity with hazardous waste handling and reporting.
Forklift operation experience preferred (license a plus).
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork skills.

Other Information:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
Occasional Saturdays required (7:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
