Manual Machinist

CoWorx is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our growing team in Conway, NH!

This role involves operating and maintaining Bridgeport-style manual machines (2–3 axis with Proto-Trak controls) while ensuring precision, safety, and quality in every job.

Responsibilities:

Confirm that all safety devices are in place and operational.
Maintain preventive maintenance logs according to manufacturer recommendations.
Select, position, and align tooling in the machine tool holder securely.
Sharpen and maintain tooling; notify supervisor of worn or broken tools.
Program and run manual milling machines with Proto-Trak controls.
Adjust pressure and tool clearance per print specifications.
Measure work-piece dimensions to ensure quality and repeatability.
Recommend tooling improvements for efficiency.
Manage material flow and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Perform start-up, operation, and shutdown per safety standards.
Maintain tooling inventory and cutting fluids.
Assist in achieving company production and quality goals.

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
3–5 years of machining experience (Bridgeport / Proto-Trak preferred).
Proficient in Proto-Trak programming and manual machine setup.
Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and material types.
Forklift and pallet jack operation experience a plus.

Type: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $25/hour (DOE)
Location: Conway, NH
