Shipping/Receiving Associate

CoWorx is seeking Shipping/Receiving Associates in the Douglas, MA area!

To be successful in this position, you will effectively organizes ship schedule of products to U.S. customers, use hand trucks and electric pallet jacks, and pick and pack outgoing shipments.

Responsibilities:

Prepare shipments to customers ensuring correct items
Locate and pick outgoing finished goods in warehouse
Prepare product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling, combining pallets of product)
Load and unload trucks
Operate pallet jacks
Verify incoming goods against packing slips, inspect for defects, and reports shortages or damaged goods to supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
Warehouse finished production
Assist with monthly inventory
Recommends shipping method
Ships outgoing goods
Follows strict adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
Learns UPS Ground shipping for small packages

Desired Background/Skills:

Minimum 1 year experience in shipping/receiving
Experienced with hand trucks
Attention to detail: applying labels so that they are level and centered (not crooked)
Good communication skills: takes direction well, doesn’t need to be told twice
Good organizational skills: understand the priority of what’s going out first
Ability to multi-task: can switch from shipping to picking/packing to inventory
Ability to work well with others: pleasant, agreeable, “glass-half-full” attitude
Capable of heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
Basic math skills
Ability to use a weight scale
This role requires proficiency in English to complete documentation and follow safety instructions.
Ability to write legibly
Ability to work independently
Understands the need for Health & Safety and being alert in a manufacturing environment
Punctual and dependable on a consistent basis
Hustle: the eagerness to accomplish tasks prior to deadline and take on additional work
Strong customer focus
