General Manager

General Manager – Location: Broadview, IL
Reports to: Steel Segment CEO

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our steel segment operations. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, warehousing, and business functions. The GM will drive operational excellence, profitability, and strategic growth while fostering a culture of accountability and empowerment.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement organizational policies and goals to improve performance.
Manage KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Manager to optimize operations and product design.
Oversee supply chain, inventory, and vendor relationships for cost and quality efficiency.
Direct engineering and product development for new and existing products.
Partner with Sales leadership to support growth and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and company policies.
Lead and mentor department managers across production, engineering, shipping, and administration.
Manage financial performance including P&L, budgeting, and cost analysis.

Desired Background/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
8+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing and warehousing environments.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, financial management, and process improvement.
Experience with SolidWorks and ISO9001 compliance preferred.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to travel occasionally within North America and overseas (<10%).
Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
