CoWorx Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our client’s warehouse team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of shipments, maintaining proper documentation, and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:
• Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments (packing slips, labels, bills of lading, freight documents).
• Check counts and packaging of outgoing shipments to ensure safe transit.
• Prepare documentation for incoming materials, storage, returns, and order discrepancies.
• Load and unload freight containers using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
• Distribute products to designated departments and ensure proper labeling of containers.
• Communicate with carriers daily and assist in resolving shipping issues.
• Investigate and follow up on freight carrier claims for damages or shortages.
• Assist with inventory management and coordinate with purchasing.
• Prepare daily paperwork for accounting.
• Support general warehouse duties and maintain compliance with ISO Quality Management System policies.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and orderly.
• Maintain tools and observe all safety requirements in line with organizational, local, and federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Proficiency with computers, software applications, websites, email, and Google Docs.
• Strong ability to read and write in English.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience.
• Forklift experience.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Frequent standing, walking, typing, reaching, and communication.
• Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Exposure to warehouse hazards such as loud noise, fumes, heat, dust, pallet-moving machinery, and truck loading/unloading.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
Temp to hire opportunity
$18.00 – 20.00/hr. BOE
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5 PM Monday-Thursday, OT may be requested
