We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assemblers to join a fast-paced production team responsible for assembling and testing BioSafety Cabinets in Sanford, ME. The ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, and a consistent work history. Responsibilities:
Assemble and sub-assemble BioSafety Cabinets following blueprints, shop orders, and work instructions
Perform Soap Bubble and Filter Leak procedures as required
Conduct final inspections for cabinet appearance, fit-up, paint quality, and cleanliness
Take airflow readings and qualify cabinets for operation and performance
Record and generate electronic Unit Test Reports
Ensure high-quality output, paying attention to squareness, part fit, and reliability
Perform simple math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Use hand and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, hammers, pallet jacks, and pneumatic tools
Work as part of a team and meet takt times in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Cross-train in multiple areas within the Assembly Department
Apply Lean principles to reduce waste and improve workflow
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Desired Background/Skills:
Mechanical assembly experience required
Basic electrical sub-assembly experience is a plus
Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
Basic problem-solving skills
Reliable work history (ideal candidate does not hop between employers)
Experience using hand tools (power drills, screwdrivers, hammers, measuring tape, etc.)
Ability to lift 10–20 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Assist in two-person lifts up to 100 lbs on occasion
Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, climb, and bend for up to 8 hours

Location: Sanford, ME
Payrate: $20/hr
Shift: 6:50AM to 3:15PM Monday to Friday
