Coating Operators

CoWorx Staffing Services seeks Coating Operators for a manufacturer in Newburyport MA.

The primary goal of the Coating Cell Operator is to maintain product and machinery efficiency during standard operation. The operator is also responsible for supporting any efforts associated with ensuring that the machinery is operational and properly maintained.

Responsibilities:

Job Details:

Clean, set up and operate coater per scheduled sequence, process sheets, work instructions and customer requirement(s)
Conduct / perform qualitative evaluations of strike and end-of-roll samples
Record all necessary process and quality documentation accurately, timely, routinely and as specified
Conduct standard routine maintenance care as required to ensure machinery cleanliness and reliability
Formulate and conduct qualitative evaluations of coating(s) / adhesive(s) per formulation and quality criteria

Desired Background/Skills:

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
Previous work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment (coating, metallizing and converting)
Lift, move, push up to 55 lbs.
Good mechanical ability and the ability learn and understand coating machinery functions and requirements
Possess good judgment and decision making skills
Be well organized and possess good verbal and written communication skills
Interpret, understand and adhere to customer requirements
Able to adapt to challenging and demanding work environment
Flexibility and willingness to work in other cells within company as assigned
Forktruck certified or willingness to train to be certified
