Quality Technician

CoWorx is seeking Quality Technicians in the Slatersville, RI area!
This position is responsible for ensuring product meets customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Performs first piece inspection utilizing various inspection techniques and instruments.
• Performs activities in accordance with the quality plan and applicable quality, manufacturing, and safety procedures.
• Reports unusually high percent of defective parts.
• Performs in process audits to visual standards.
• Determines product conformance. If non-conforming, identifies inspection status and reviews prior production.
• Ensures conformance to molding line clearance and order packet information.
• Assists operators in training and development in areas of quality and decision-making.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal.
• When work in primary classification is not available, may perform other duties according to skill and availability.

Desired Background/Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Solid understanding of test equipment.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience.
• Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.
