Location: Watertown, Connecticut

CoWorx Staffing Services is actively seeking Production Specialist for a Manufacturing Company within Watertown, CT for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

The Production Specialist is responsible for performing various production manufacturing tasks to set up, operate, and clean assigned machines, The role is responsible for the high quality and safe production of ingredients used in food, cosmetics, and consumer goods. The Production Specialist is highly skilled and is viewed as an expert in particular work functions. They will also ensure production objectives are met by guiding other team members to execute specific functions and coordinating with other departments such as Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and Planning.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and product quality.
• Lead by example as a subject matter expert and support team associates with best practices on how best to execute and deliver on daily production objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues independently while escalating complex problems when needed.
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and Planning personnel to support continuous improvement and meet daily production targets and sampling requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, machine settings, production data, and ensure proper labeling requirements are met.
• Conduct in-process checks such as weights, temperatures, lot verification, and quality measurements in alignment with GMP/HACCP standards.
• Perform start-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures in accordance with company SOPs and industry regulations.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance and communication of equipment concerns proactively.
• Satisfactorily completes SQF annual training session(s) covering Good Manufacturing
• Ensure adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
• Lead training of designated functions with new team members as required along with ongoing refresher and best practice sessions with existing teammates.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or production experience
• Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems independently
• Experience with operation and maintenance of production machinery and/or process controls
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
• Forklift or pallet jack certification
• Experience with ERP or digital production systems
• Experience guiding/training others

Other Information:

Opportunities are on 1st and 2nd Shift.
Must be able to work Saturdays.
1st shift 7am-3:30pm
2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm
