CoWorx Staffing is hiring a Web Press Operator – Direct Hire!

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Schedule: Overnight, 12-hour rotating shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
Pay: Starting at $27/hour
Shift Premium: $3/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (distributed monthly after meeting job requirements)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Web Press Operator to join our team in a direct hire capacity. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining web printing presses to produce high-quality printed products. You will lead and direct the press crew, ensure quality standards, and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain web printing presses, including Litho Press, In-line double web press, Harris M10, and mini web 6-color presses.
Set up, adjust, and maintain presses for single-color, two-color, and multi-color work with critical color values and registration requirements.
Review job specifications and determine press setup.
Perform make-ready tasks: hanging plates, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register.
Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality standards.
Maintain and clean presses; perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
Lead press crew and promote a safe work environment.
Ensure overall quality of printed products, including color reproduction and compliance with specifications.
Document time, materials, impressions, waste, and run speeds accurately.
Communicate effectively with other departments and crews.
Train other employees as assigned.

Desired Background/Skills:

Experience operating web printing presses and performing make-ready tasks.
Strong understanding of color correction and registration requirements.
Ability to lead a team and maintain a safe work environment.
Mechanical aptitude for press maintenance and minor repairs.
