CoWorx Staffing is seeking a Lab Technician for our client in the Dudley, MA area.
The QA Lab Technician plays a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of aerosol products throughout the manufacturing process. This position performs laboratory testing, inspections, and documentation to verify that all products meet internal specifications, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. The technician works closely with production and quality teams to support consistent product integrity and operational excellence.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:45pm
Compensation: Up to $22/hr. based on experience

Responsibilities:
Conduct routine laboratory testing on raw materials, bulk formulations, propellants, and finished aerosol products, including measurements such as pressure, fill weight, spray pattern, particle size, viscosity, density, and pH.
Perform in-process quality checks during aerosol filling, crimping, gassing, and labeling operations.
Operate and maintain aerosol-specific laboratory equipment such as burst testers, crimp gauges, pressure/vacuum testers, gassers/shakers, and compatibility chambers.
Inspect packaging components (cans, valves, actuators, caps, labels) for defects or nonconformance.
Accurately document all test results in batch records and QA logs in accordance with GMP and ISO standards.
Assist with root-cause investigations related to quality deviations, customer complaints, and production issues.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory and industry standards for aerosol products.
Calibrate laboratory instruments and maintain up-to-date calibration records.
Participate in internal audits and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Follow all safety protocols related to flammable propellants, pressurized containers, and chemical handling.

Desired Background/Skills:
Must be 18 years old or older
Experience in quality control or laboratory testing.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), and batch records.
Proficiency with laboratory instruments and basic troubleshooting.
Strong documentation accuracy and communication skills.
Ability to work safely with pressurized and flammable materials.
