Manufacturing Supervisor

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in the Danbury, CT area.

This role ensures all logistics operations run efficiently, safely, and accurately, including manpower planning, picking, packing, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines and established SOPs.

Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate, and develop hourly employees in alignment with company guidelines.
Plan and schedule manpower effectively, adjusting resources as needed.
Cross-train employees to support flexibility and efficiency across all warehouse operations.
Manage and approve employee time sheets, including temporary staff.
Provide training and coaching using company SOPs, standards, and training materials.
Oversee daily shipping activities, including picking, packing, labeling, and loading.
Monitor productivity and implement improvements where needed.
Address and resolve shipping issues promptly.
Support same-day shipping goals and manage On-Time Delivery performance.
Ensure staff adheres to established SOPs.

Promote and enforce safe forklift operation and required documentation.
Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
Manage and maintain logistics equipment and tools.
Implement effective picking and packing strategies to meet customer expectations.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Follow and uphold OSHA/ISO procedures and all applicable SOPs.

Desired Background/Skills:

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics leadership.
Strong knowledge of ERP and WMS systems (SAP experience preferred).
Solid understanding of OSHA/ISO compliance requirements.
Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of inventory management and logistics best practices.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Minimum of 5 years of shipping/distribution experience, including 1–3 years in a supervisory role.
Forward-thinking with strong time-management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional demeanor with the ability to multi-task effectively.
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Proficient in ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred).
Hands-on experience with forklifts, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment.

Other Information:

Able to work 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:00am)
