Machine Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Machine Operator candidates in the Bethel, CT area.

We are seeking a motivated operator responsible for forming of medical device components using manual labor in conjunctions with various machines. The offering position requires the candidate the ability to sit and stand for periods of time, the ability to read and understand work instructions and complete necessary documentation as instructed.

Responsibilities:

Operate computer-based machining equipment and related production machinery.
Perform tasks ranging from simple to moderately complex based on customer requirements and documented procedures.
Form and handle parts manually, requiring up to 10 lbs of force.
Set up, adjust, and prepare equipment to meet required specifications.
Follow detailed work instructions, complete router steps, and accurately fill out identification labels.
Verify equipment conditions and system status before starting operations.
Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
Maintain strong awareness of departmental quality goals and demonstrate consistent workmanship.
Enter production and inspection data into required systems and maintain accurate documentation.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, demonstrating strong housekeeping habits.
Follow all safety rules and equipment-specific guidelines.
Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and established best practices.
Perform work professionally while maintaining high standards of behavior and performance.
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals.
Follow direction from the Supervisor, Lead, and/or Production Manager at all times.

Desired Background/Skills:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Microscope skills experience.
The use of micrometers, gages and calipers.
Basic computer skills.
Must have over 1 year of experience operating production machines.

Other Information:

Must be able to do 1st shift (7:00am to 3:00pm) or 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:00)
