Powder Coater – Direct Hire

CoWorx Staffing is seeking a detail oriented Powder Coater in the Biddeford, ME area.

This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and inspecting metal parts using an overhead conveyor system. The ideal candidate is safety focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
• Ensure safety devices are in place and fully operational
• Clean product hooks and verify proper grounding
• Hang parts safely and correctly on overhead conveyor
• Phosphate, dry, mask, plug, and tack cloth parts
• Powder coat parts according to work order specifications
• Move coated parts to curing oven and set proper curing temperature
• Perform cure and mil spec tests to ensure quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Monitor pallet stacking and weight capacity
• Complete preventive maintenance logs as scheduled
• Report equipment concerns or repair needs to supervisor
• Suggest process improvements and support efficient production
• Operate a battery powered pallet jack once certified
• Verify print specifications match work order requirements
• Confirm masking and correct quantities before coating
• Inspect parts for defects or material issues that affect finish quality

Desired Background/Skills:

• Prior manufacturing or coating experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable performing physical, repetitive tasks
• Safety minded and reliable
