Logistics Inventory Control Coordinator

Location: Auburn, Massachusetts

CoWorx Staffing is hiring a Logistics Inventory Control Coordinator for our client located in Auburn, MA.

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain operations relative to accurate and timely inventory transactions. The role is responsible for cycle counting, investigating discrepancies, and adjusting inventory quantity and value. The position is also responsible for auditing Logistics processes to ensure desired outputs are received in accordance to established operating procedures; as well as delivering training to associates on best practices related to Inventory Control and Financial GAAP expectations.

Responsibilities:

Perform cycle counts of all inventory locations, including third party vendors, to ensure inventory accuracy standards are maintained according to company policy.
Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and inventory locations.
Respond to customer requests related to inventory corrections and troubleshooting.
Investigate customer complaints related to pick, ship, and labeling.
Produce and review inventory reports for use in evaluating inventory accuracy.
Research and investigate any inventory errors, discrepancies, or anomalies in reports to discover root causes, resolve and assist in developing corrective and preventative actions.
Monitor various warehouse bins, virtual and physical transactions within SAP and provide information to Inventory Control Manager in support of accurate inventory and continuous improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate and train Logistics Center staff on the proper SAP transactions required to accurately store inventory quantities and value.
Using continuous improvement methodologies, generate improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
Collaborate with Internal Department to determine inventory strategies based on quality data, inventory reports, and audit results.
Assist with creation, editing, and processing of work instructions.
Support compliance and implementation of process improvements with internal and external departments.
Support our Compliance and Quality Management System standards through auditing and communicating opportunities.

Desired Background/Skills:

Highly organized with strong documentation practices
Experience with inventory management and inventory control
Team-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
Continuous improvement mindset
Prior work experience in inventory control or a quality-focused environment
Training or onboarding experience is a strong plus
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (most important requirement)
Experience with SAP preferred (not required)
Familiarity with other warehouse management systems is a plus

Other Information:

Pay: $20-22/hr.
Shift: 9am-5:30pm M-F, possible OT
Position duration: Temporary role, opportunity for temp-to-hire if the incumbent does not return
