Job Description:

Location: Griffin, Georgia

CoWorx is seeking a Direct Hire Commercial Electricians and Electrician Leads opportunities for 1st and 2nd Shift, located in Griffin, GA!

This is an opportunity to join an evolving and growing dynamic enterprise. As the Commercial Electrician or Lead, you will perform fundamental electrical installations for industrial packaging daily. You will also perform all duties related to industrial packaging for backup power.

To be successful in this position you should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. Adhere and adapt to changing temperatures in the work environment. Possess experience in the industrial or commercial field. The ability to work safely alone and around others is essential to this position as well.

Work Hours:
1st Shift 6:00am to 2:00 pm
2nd Shift -3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with state regulations and safety codes.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local code.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
Supervise and train apprentices and other less experienced staff.
Ensure all installations and repairs are complete on time and within budget.
Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns.
Participate in the required safety program and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as an electrician.
Certification or state electrician’s license.
Proven experience as an electrician.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state electrical codes.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Other Information:

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.
2nd Shift Shift $1.50 shift differential.
