Machine Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Machine Operator candidates in the Sterling, MA area.

Responsibilities:

Perform changeovers and completes changeover setup form.
Arranges assistance for changeover.
Responsible for the cleaning of blenders and other equipment for material changes.
Pre-blend and oversee the blending or mixing of resins in off-line as well as online.
Completes paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet.
Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork or entered into MRP system.
Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, venting, portable winders, etc.) and test functionality to assure proper set-up and operation.
Watches for and reacts to stack light alerts.
Supports and complies with safety and environmental guidelines.
Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain required product quality and/or as identified by Packer/Inspector.
Implements Berry incident protocol for medical assistance and applies first aid if trained.

Desired Background/Skills:

MUST be able to read and understand English; prefer someone with experience operating extruder machines.
Candidate can speak English as a 2nd language, but MUST be able to read and communicate in English

Other Information:

Works a 12-hour day, 3 and 4 days a week (84 hours every two weeks); weekend work is mandatory.
