Job Description:
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician to support and maintain Quality Control programs within our cosmetic manufacturing facility.
This role works closely with Production, Fill Line, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure products and processes consistently meet ISO 22716 cGMP standards and company quality specifications.

Responsibilities:
Inspect raw materials upon arrival (odor, color, consistency) and verify against technical data sheets
Verify hygiene compliance before entry into production areas
Ensure production lines are properly cleaned and prepared
Perform visual and sensory checks during packaging (texture, aroma, color)
Validate correct batch and expiration code printing
Identify and remove contaminated or improperly sealed products
Conduct daily scale and balance checks before production
Verify staging of components and inspect bulk products prior to startup
Confirm bulk color matches standard before release
Approve first production runs (assembly and fill) and upload required documentation/images
Perform hourly in-process checks and document results in manufacturing records
Retain and properly label batch samples
Complete nonconformance reports and assist with investigations
Audit GMP compliance in production and packaging areas
Manage non-conforming products (quality hold, reprocessing, or destruction)
Perform basic microbiological testing
Monitor and document trends (pH, viscosity, stability) and report deviations
Maintain quality documentation (procedures, records, specifications)
Assist with recalls and out-of-specification investigations
Review cleaning logs and controlled documents
Serve as backup to the Quality Microbiology Laboratory Manager as needed
Participate in daily Operations meetings

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP experience preferred

Team-oriented mindset
Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Ability to move throughout warehouse, including stairs
Work Environment
Primarily warehouse environment
Exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving equipment
Exposure to varying temperatures
Hours may fluctuate based on business needs

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.67 per hour and up (based on experience)
