Forklift Operator

CoWorx is seeking a Forklift Operator in the Horn Lake/Southaven, MS area!

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklift equipment while transporting material and is also responsible for the pre equipment inspection.

1st and 2nd Shift opportunities available!

Responsibilities:

Manual loading and unloading of material with or without a pallet jack
Assist in other departments (i.e. shipping and inventory) as the business needs dictate
Move and control devices to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas
Organize and secure materials where balance sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored
Perform routine pre inspection on equipment to ensure its working properly
Demonstrate responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards
Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack or move product, equipment and materials
Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy
Load and unload trailers as needed
Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean environment at all times
Display a commitment to process excellence
Demonstrate an understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy
Perform inbound/outbound receiving and shipping processes

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of forklift experience is a Required
Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks
Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed
Ability to meet Background and Drug screen Requirements
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
Able to operate Reach, Dock Stocker, Order Picker, Sit down, Electric Pallet Jack, Turret Truck
