Supply Chain Electronics, Team Lead

We are now accepting applications for a Team Lead, Supply Chain with strong electronics sourcing and procurement experience—specifically PCBs, cable assemblies, sensors, and related components. This role is critical to managing new and existing supply chains for assigned commodities and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials supporting client Customization (USA).

You will directly lead and mentor a team of three (two other Team Leads in the department), supporting daily operations, strategic sourcing initiatives, and supplier relationships. We are open to candidates with 1–2 years of leadership experience, as long as they have had direct reports and a proven track record of developing others.

This is direct hire, hybrid role requiring candidates to be onsite every Monday and Friday, with flexibility to come in 3–4 days per week as needed.

Responsibilities:

You will lead sourcing initiatives, build and mentor a strong purchasing team, and work directly with global suppliers—especially those supporting electronics manufacturing such as PCBs, cables, and sensors.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three, driving daily execution and supporting long-term team growth.
Manage complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations, especially within electronics manufacturing.
Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships while continuously vetting new sources of supply.
Drive global supply optimization initiatives and support strategic sourcing roadmap planning.
Validate, benchmark, and qualify suppliers using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
Monitor supply performance and ensure on-time delivery, high product quality, and competitive pricing.
Maintain accurate procurement-related data within SAP for assigned commodities.
Support the Purchasing Manager with interviewing, training, team goals, and team-building activities.
Serve as an escalation point for vendor and internal stakeholder issues.

Desired Background/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a technical field (electronics highly preferred).
Minimum 5+ years experience in purchasing or supply chain with direct electronics manufacturers (PCB, cables, sensors required).
Hands-on experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Leadership or team-lead experience (1–2+ years minimum), including coaching and mentoring direct reports.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functionally.
Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented approach and strong problem-solving skills.

This role is hybrid, with strict onsite expectations:

Required onsite days: Monday & Friday
Must be able to come onsite 3–4 days per week as business needs dictate
Candidates must live within 1 hour of the Danbury, CT area
