Mechanical Engineer

CoWorx is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the Lawrence, MA area!
The engineering team designs keyboard products using mechanical, elastomeric, and membrane switch technologies.
The engineering team also assists in product development, remodeling, prototype development, and re-engineering. They work with clients to define their requirements, guide them through material specifications, and handle activities like procurement, assembly documentation, and documentation of all the critical manufacturing steps.
Our skilled production facility and quality assurance staff ensure high-level integrity and reliability for our customers. Our graphic and engineering design personnel work with clients to determine the best product design with the latest state-of-the-art technology. We utilize design tools such as SolidWorks, DraftSight, OrCad, AutoCad, and Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities:

• Work with fellow Mechanical and Electrical engineers to design and prototype a variety of products for the medical, security, DOD, and other industries.
• Interface with individuals from production operators to develop testing processes, define system requirements, and create test documentation.
• Expected to prototype and test their initial designs, work with vendors to build and outsource custom components, and deploy systems on time with high yields and reliability.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering design (2 years for junior engineers)
• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Experience with Solidworks (PDM a plus), DraftSight, AutoCad, and Adobe Illustrator
• Capable of overseeing multiple projects at any given time
• Good communication skills and the ability to assist fellow Mechanical Engineer Draftsmen
