Extruder Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Extruder Operator candidates in the Taunton, MA area. The Extrusion Technician provides essential technical support in the operation of extrusion machinery. This role includes setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and cleaning all extrusion equipment while ensuring quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Technicians also complete required production documentation and contribute to team development through mentorship.

Responsibilities:

Setup, run, and adjust extrusion manufacturing equipment according to specifications.
Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance, inspecting products for defects using tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, visions systems and laser micrometers.
Complete production documentation according to ISO13485/GMP guidelines.
Manage raw material usage, including tracking consumption and performing mixing and blending of raw materials.
Perform finished goods packaging and oversee changeovers and machine cleanouts.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and uphold safety, health, and environmental compliance policies.
Work independently with minimal supervision and mentor/train team members.

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent demonstrated skills.
Experience in controlled systems such as ISO9001/ISO13485 preferred.
Medical device industry and melt extrusion experience is desirable.

Other Information:

Pay is based one experience.
Second and third shifts are available!
