Fabrication Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Job Description:

Location: Sanford, Maine

We’re looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Fabrication Machine Operator to join our client’s growing manufacturing team in Sanford. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has experience with machinery, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, punch machines, and related machinery
Set up machines, select proper tooling, and prepare materials based on work instructions
Read and follow job tags, basic blueprints, and production documentation
Perform routine machine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance
Use measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) to verify accuracy and tolerances
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures
Support continuous improvement efforts and efficient workflow
Work independently while meeting daily production goals

Desired Background/Skills:

Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machinery
Basic computer and math skills
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful
Ability to lift 10–20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout an 8-hour shift
Reliable work history and strong attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and safety

Other Information:

Competitive hourly rate: $22.00/hr
Stable Monday–Friday schedule
Hours: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (40 hours per week)
