Forklift Operator

CoWorx is seeking Forklift Operators in the Haverhill, MA area![br[ In addition to daily responsibilities and duties, the Warehouse Associate will support tasks and initiatives as assigned by Manager. Assist the manager in receiving, picking product and preparing it for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services and the support of materials to and from the production floor. Following shifts are available: A Shift: 6:00am-4:00pm Friday-Monday B Shift: 6:00am-4:00pm Tuesday-Friday

Responsibilities:

Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers/customer requirements. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck/pallet jack operator. Accurately process movement transactions in a scan gun enabled WMS system. Select and stage materials needed to support packing lines in an accurate, timely manner. Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Must be familiar with good inventory control processes to ensure accuracy of inventory through receipt, product movement, shipment and cycle counting. Solid ethical disposition and ability to form business relationships across the organization. Interpret packing slips as well as acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order.

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of manufacturing related experience in shipping and receiving 1 year of stand up for truck experience Knowledge of the English language with basic reading and writing skills, follow verbal instructions and ability to use simple mathematic Basic computer skills a plus Ability to operate forklift standup equipment Ability to perform inventory Ability to work overtime when required and flexible with schedule changes Solid interpersonal skills Ability to work in cold environment (34 to 38 degrees) Certification in PIT operating procedures Experience in the use of scan guns and WMS systems Have worked in a food processing environment Solid verbal and written communication skills and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience Ability to analyze, plan and solve problems Ability to execute sound independent judgment and communicate effectively with staff across the organization Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Power Point, Excel, and Word a must Must be detailed oriented, organized and ability to multitask Promote positive environment and have solid interpersonal skills while adhering to Company established Core Values Spanish language skills a plus but not required Commitment and Accountability to work schedule
