Quality Technician

Job Description:

Location: Westbrook, Maine

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring a Quality Technician in Westbrook, ME! The Quality function ensures that all processes, products, and services meet company standards as well as applicable regulatory and customer requirements, including AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP. Quality personnel are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems; conducting audits and inspections; supporting corrective and preventive actions; and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and ensure ongoing compliance.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP standards. Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze quality data, generate reports, and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Manage and maintain document control processes, ensuring accuracy and revision control of quality records. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including facilitation of root cause analysis. Provide training and ongoing education related to quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes. Monitor, evaluate, and report on supplier quality performance. Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Perform inspections and testing in accordance with drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. Perform, track, and/or evaluate equipment calibration activities. Demonstrate a willingness to learn through hands-on experience within production environments. Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.

Desired Background/Skills:

Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and applicable industry standards. Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Proficiency in technical writing, specification development, and/or interpretation. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis methodologies. Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Prior experience in quality management or a related manufacturing/aerospace field preferred.

Other Information:

This is a full-time position. The standard work schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with some flexibility in start and end times based on business needs and supervisory approval. The pay rate for this position is $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
