Mount Kemble Search Group, the direct hire division of CoWorx Staffing Services, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client’s team in Thomaston, CT. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products and manufacturing processes meet required quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and collaborative, with a strong passion for continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct F/T, onsite placement to the client with a salary of $100K – $115K BOE. “Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities:
- Program and support optical measurement systems used by Quality and Production (Micro-Vu / Keyence).
- Lead and support customer complaint investigations (EBBs), including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare detailed reports for the Quality Manager and support responses back to customers.
- Train personnel as needed to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Lead metrology labs, ensuring equipment availability and readiness for production and qualification needs.
- Apply DOE techniques to optimize processes after qualification.
- Own and support the SPC Infinity data collection system, including data analysis, corrective actions, and training.
- Support ISO quality management system (QMS) compliance.

Desired Background/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in product design, process engineering, or project management (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Hands-on experience with engineering documentation, qualification protocols, timelines, and change control.
- Working knowledge of SPC and DOE.
- Experience with gauges, test fixtures, and gage R&R studies.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to analyze data and present clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with automated assembly, molding, or metal forming.
- ISO 9001 experience.
- Experience using manufacturing data collection systems.
