Maintenance Mechanics

Production Maintenance Mechanic, York, ME, $28–$30 per hour (based on experience) Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift Mount Kemble Search, a division of CoWorx Staffing Services, is now accepting applications for skilled Production Maintenance Mechanics to join our client’s manufacturing team in York, Maine. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing environment. If you’re motivated and a dependable individual with a strong mechanical background and a positive, team-oriented attitude, then we want to hear from you! These roles are F/T direct hire to the client.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records Inspect equipment regularly to identify repair needs and safety issues Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and steam-related equipment Assist with training Manufacturing Line Operators on maintenance-related safety programs (e.g., Lockout/Tagout) Recommend, evaluate, and install new equipment or production line improvements Work to reduce production downtime caused by equipment failure Coordinate with and oversee outside vendors for repairs and maintenance within budget Ensure equipment supports efficient and timely changeovers Maintain adequate spare parts inventory Respond to off-hours calls for building and equipment issues as needed (scheduled in advance)

Desired Background/Skills:

Technical or trade school graduate preferred 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing production/manufacturing equipment High-voltage electrical experience strongly preferred Experience working with steam equipment Maine State Boiler Operator License (4th Class or higher) preferred (Employer will pay for certification if not currently held) Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
