Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts

Mount Kemble Search Group, the direct hire division of CoWorx Staffing Services is accepting applications for an Inventory Control Specialist – Lawrence, MA, $55,000 – $75,000 annually. Schedule Options for 2 openings – Sunday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – approx. 4:00 PM and Tuesday – Saturday: 12:00 PM – approx. 8:00 PM
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory across multiple food manufacturing plants and warehouse locations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, lot traceability, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and alignment with food safety and regulatory standards. The position leads cycle counting activities and works cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Finance.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and 3PLs Lead, train, and oversee Cycle Counters and Inventory Control Associates Ensure proper system transactions from raw material receiving through finished goods shipping Develop and execute cycle count programs to support inventory accuracy and traceability Enforce lot tracking, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and expiration date management Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions Partner with Quality, Operations, Warehouse, Procurement, and Finance teams to improve inventory processes Support physical inventories and internal/external audits (USDA, SQF, etc.) Monitor and report inventory KPIs including accuracy, adjustments, shrink, waste, and obsolete inventory Maintain inventory data integrity within the ERP/WMS systems

Desired Background/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field or equivalent experience 3–5+ years of inventory control or materials management experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or regulated environment Experience working with raw materials and/or finished goods Strong knowledge of SKU management and WMS processes Hands-on experience leading or training inventory or warehouse teams Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and process improvement mindset
