Manufacturing Operator

CoWorx is currently hiring for Manufacturing Operators for a client located in Somers, CT!
This is a great opportunity to join a welcoming team and to gain more experience within the manufacturing industry!
Shifts:

• 1st Shift – 6:30am – 3:30pm $18/hr; Monday – Friday
• 2nd Shift – 2:30pm – 11pm $19/hr; Monday – Friday
• 3rd Shift – 10:30pm-7:00am $20/hr; Sunday – Thursday

Responsibilities:

• Visually and dimensionally inspect and assemble parts to quality specifications, being aware of critical visual and dimensional defects and determining acceptability of the parts
• Complete inspection records accurately
• Ensure accurate packaging and traceability of product, including the correct labeling and accurate part count
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting on auxiliary equipment
• Communicate with supervisor/lead operator regarding any unacceptable parts, malfunctions of the production process within their workstation, or safety issues
• Utilize route sheets and work instructions to ensure parts meet both customer and internal requirements
• Remove parts from injection molding machines during gate tended operations
• Make use of auxiliary equipment to aid in the assembly process. Examples: sonic welders, heat sealers/shrink wrappers, and granulators
• Follow all HACCP (Hazard and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Expected to be available for work in both the Somers and Ellington production facilities. Job location may be shifted daily or weekly to meet production needs

Desired Background/Skills:

[Must be 18 years old or older
• This role requires proficiency in English to complete documentation and follow safety instructions.
• Initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team player.
• Possession of basic math skills
• Good motor skills
• Ability to lift an average of 20 cartons per day with a maximum weight of 50 pounds each
• ISO 9001/13485 knowledge
• Working knowledge of IQMS and Teams
• Prior manufacturing experience
