Quality Control Inspector

CoWorx Staffing Services is actively seeking experienced Quality Control Inspector’s for a company within Wallingford, CT area.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read English, analyze, and interpret complex documents
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints
• Analyze products based on given requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups
• Able to work on small and fragile parts with minimal errors
• Analyze piece compliance according to process and customer requirements
• Able to translate specifications into part inspections following required inspection methodologies
• Able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, rulers, micrometers, and microscopes
• Awareness of and compliance with AS9100 protocols
• IPC experience
• IPC‑620
• IPC‑610
• J‑Standard
• Performs functions within the company’s ERP system (SAP)
• Ability to read and understand measurements in millimeters and inches
• Able to properly utilize equipment to inspect small products

Desired Background/Skills:

• Work from semi-complicated specifications and drawings, or other documentation
• Ensure product compliance by inspecting product characteristics
• Verify proper inspection methods as shown in SAP
• Verify shipments match part numbers and requirements of purchase orders
• Verify correct vendor certifications
• Carry out Workstation Audits in specific areas, as required
• Check parts for count, finish, quality of workmanship, and general appearance
• Make final determination if parts meet inspection criteria
• Generate Defective Material Reports for products that do not conform to the requirements
• Participate in and promote continuous improvements
