Maintenance Technician

CoWorx is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing operation in the La Porte, IN area!
This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and production machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Troubleshoot issues involving hydraulics, electrical systems, and compressed air systems
• Support equipment upgrades and new machinery installations
• Conduct daily wastewater monitoring and cleaning tasks
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and all plant safety protocols
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and torches safely
• Assist with general facility upkeep, organization, and cleanliness
• Collaborate with maintenance team members and plant personnel across departments
• Work overtime and weekends as needed to support production

Desired Background/Skills:

• 1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a physically active environment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain forklift certification preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• High-pressure boilers and steam systems experience preferred
• Ammonia refrigeration systems experience preferred
• Wastewater pretreatment processes experience preferred
• Manufacturing environments involving regulated production standards experience preferred
