Temporary HR Administrative Assistant

Job Description:

Location: Newington, New Hampshire

CoWorx is seeking a Temporary HR Administrative Assistant (12 to 14 weeks) in the Newington, NH area.
Shift: Can start anywhere between 6:30AM – 8AM and work a full shift (8.5hrs) – end of shift depends on start time
This position will provide support in the administration and coordination activities of the SubCom Human Resources department.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen entry level candidates (including calls over the phone and sourcing through open requisitions).
  • Provide administrative/clerical support to include HRIS data entry, processing invoices and filing.
  • Provide face to face support to employees on HR related inquiries.
  • Support the recruitment and selection processes, including maintaining statistics on open requisitions, requisition generation and preparing staffing related reports.
  • Support onboarding activities including providing training to new employees in benefits enrollment and processing new hire paperwork, including pre employment screening, e-Verify and I-9 documentation.
  • Support HR projects and deliverables for various initiatives including compensation planning, performance management, and other special projects.
  • Collaborate with SubCom benefits team to implement site specific wellness and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate engagement events such as Lunch and Learns, Open Houses and annual picnics.
  • Create and update spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks and organizational charts in support of assigned projects.
  • Assist and advise employees and managers regarding HR procedures and policies within the specified guidelines.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • This position requires discretion and sensitivity due to the highly confidential nature of work assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with others in a service environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Detail oriented, high level of accuracy in work product, with exemplary organizational and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment laws and regulations preferred.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization both within HR and throughout the company, including with external parties.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel required.
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check, Drug Screen and Credit Check.
