Bindery Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services, in conjunction with a national printing company, is seeking a Bindery Machine Operator. The Bindery Machine Operator is responsible for operating folder and cutter equipment, maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting equipment issues, and meeting production requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate MBO folding equipment, including roll unwinder or sheet-fed systems.
• Perform job setups, including configuring counters, glue systems, and job-specific folds.
• Review and follow job tickets to ensure accurate production requirements are met.
• Operate straight knife cutter equipment.
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on machinery.

Desired Background/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three or more years of bindery experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up and operate MBO folding equipment (roll-to-fold).
• Basic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler accurately.

Other Information:

• First and second shifts available.
• First shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.
• Second shift: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work long hours as required.
