Electrical Controls Technician

Job Description:

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire

CoWorx is seeking a Electrical Controls Technician in the Manchester, NH.
Shift: 2:45 PM – 10:45 PM
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician to perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and systems within a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong electrical expertise along with the ability to support mechanical maintenance as needed to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, equipment, and systems, including troubleshooting, calibration, adjustments, and installations
  • Minimize equipment downtime while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
  • Plan and install electrical services for new or relocated machinery, including conduit layout, wiring, and component installation
  • Maintain working knowledge of plant electrical distribution systems and controls
  • Troubleshoot and repair control systems, including PLCs, AC/DC drives, motor controllers, and motion control systems
  • Support development and execution of preventive (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs
  • Perform wiring and rewiring based on design specifications and engineered systems
  • Complete work orders, logs, inventory records, and other required documentation
  • Support spare parts inventory management, including ordering and vendor communication
  • Collaborate with engineering on equipment upgrades and facility improvements
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors when necessary
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of materials
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical and controls experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC drives, and industrial control systems
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in machine repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Proficiency with electrical tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
  • Skilled in conduit bending and electrical installations
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Journeyman Electrician license
  • Associate’s degree in a technical field
  • Experience with CMMS or work order systems
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley systems and programming
