Responsibilities:

  • Drives safe operations by ensuring compliance with GMP, SQF, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
  • Manages both people and automated equipment, balancing labor resources with robotic and automated production systems.
  • Uses production data and KPIs (efficiency, throughput, downtime, waste, and labor utilization) to make operational decisions.
  • Troubleshoots first-level equipment issues and coordinates effectively with Maintenance and Engineering teams.
  • Champions change management by helping employees adapt to new technologies, processes, and automation initiatives.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements that increase productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Develops workforce capabilities through coaching, training, cross-training, and succession planning for future automated operations.
  • Demonstrates learning agility and technology adoption, embracing robotics, digital tools, and advanced manufacturing practices to support the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Strong track record of driving safe operations by ensuring full compliance with GMP, SQF, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Experience managing both frontline employees and automated production systems, effectively balancing labor with robotics and advanced equipment
  • Data-driven decision maker with the ability to analyze KPIs such as efficiency, throughput, downtime, waste, and labor utilization to optimize performance
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot first-level equipment issues and partner closely with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime
  • Change agent who successfully supports workforce adoption of new technologies, processes, and automation initiatives
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a history of identifying and implementing process enhancements that improve productivity, quality, and efficiency
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Committed to talent development through coaching, training, cross-training, and building pipeline strength for future automated operations
  • Highly adaptable with strong learning agility, embracing robotics, digital tools, and advanced manufacturing technologies to support long-term business growth
