Machine Operator

Job Description:

Location: Chester, Connecticut

CoWorx is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in the Chester, CT area.
The ideal candidate will have previous machine operating experience and the ability to independently set up, operate, and adjust production equipment while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate production machinery, including installing tooling and adjusting machine settings as required.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings and programs to ensure products meet dimensional and quality specifications.
  • Operate and oversee up to four machines simultaneously.
  • Perform hourly quality inspections to verify compliance with functional, dimensional, and cosmetic standards.
  • Use measuring equipment, including calipers and gauges, to inspect products and ensure accuracy.
  • Record and post production orders in SAP.
  • Inspect equipment prior to operation to ensure proper setup, alignment, and safe working condition.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Set up and operate stamping, laser, and other automated production equipment.
  • Load material hoppers with raw materials as needed.
  • Assist with packaging and boxing finished products during downtime.
  • Support production goals by ensuring efficient machine operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently when required.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Machine operating, machine setup, or production equipment experience is a plus.
  • Plastics manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
