Location: East Providence, Rhode Island

PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE (QUALITY) – 2ND SHIFT
HELP ENSURE QUALITY IN A FAST-PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Are you detail-oriented and take pride in doing things right the first time? We’re looking for a Production Associate (Quality) to join a team dedicated to producing high-quality products through inspection, packaging, labeling, and quality assurance processes. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to build experience in manufacturing, quality control, and production operations.
PAY & SCHEDULE
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour
Total Starting Compensation: $18.25 per hour
2ND SHIFT Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Production Associate (Quality), you will play a critical role in ensuring products meet company quality standards before being packaged and shipped.
PERFORM QUALITY INSPECTIONS:

  • Conduct all aspects of barrel process inspection.
  • Inspect products according to EFD Workmanship Standards.
  • Understand and identify acceptable and non-acceptable product conditions.
  • Identify quality concerns and potential defects.

MONITOR PRODUCT QUALITY

  • Determine appropriate product sampling methods and frequencies based on inspection requirements.
  • Document inspection findings accurately and completely.
  • Report quality concerns to the appropriate personnel for review and corrective action.
  • Identify and tag suspect products requiring further evaluation, review, or disposition.

PACKAGE & LABEL PRODUCTS

  • Package products according to established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Apply accurate labels to finished products.
  • Record piece counts and production information accurately.
  • Generate labels using company computer systems as needed.

USE MEASURING & COUNTING EQUIPMENT:

  • Set up and operate scales according to established work instructions.
  • Verify accurate piece counts using approved counting and weighing methods.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure production accuracy and consistency.

SUPPORT TEAM OPERATIONS

  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.

Desired Background/Skills:

SKILLS WE’D LOVE TO SEE:

  • Quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Experience using basic measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience maintaining accurate documentation and records.
  • Packaging and labeling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to quality and accuracy.
