Stationary Engineer, 2nd Class New Bedford, MA Full-Time | Direct Hire | 1st Shift Are you a licensed Stationary Engineer looking for a stable, long-term opportunity on 1st shift? We are seeking an experienced 2nd Class Stationary Engineer to lead the safe and efficient operation of a high-pressure boiler plant in a critical facility environment. Responsibilities:

• Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineer License (Required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of boiler and steam plant operations experience
• Strong knowledge of boiler systems, steam distribution, and plant operations
• Experience maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Facilities management and HVAC experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Desired Background/Skills:

• Serve as the engineer in charge of daily boiler plant operations
• Ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of high-pressure boiler systems and associated equipment
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational issues
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and required inspections
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and operational documentation
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications
• Communicate effectively with facility leadership regarding system performance and operational needs
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased reliability
• Perform additional duties as assigned
